‘Duck Dynasty’ Star Jessica Robertson Reveals 18-Year-Old Daughter Priscilla Is Pregnant as Teen Shows Off Her Bump Outside Family Home

“Duck Dynasty” star Jessica Robertson has revealed that her 18-year-old daughter, Priscilla, is pregnant with her first child, while admitting that welcoming a child as a teenager “isn’t the plan” she had imagined for her child.

The 44-year-old TV personality took to Instagram to reveal that her daughter, whom she shares with husband Jules Jeptha, also known as Jep, is expecting a child with her partner, Dillon.

Jessica shared the news alongside a series of images of her teenage daughter proudly showing off her baby bump while posing outside of the family’s Louisiana home.

“Me & Jep are excited to welcome another new grandbaby in October. Priscilla will give birth to our granddaughter & we are blessed to add another grandbaby,” Jessica wrote in the caption.

The mom of four noted that, although the pregnancy was unplanned, they are looking forward to watching their daughter become a mother. However, she admitted that helping to care for three babies under the age of 1 is not something she knows how to prepare for.

“This isn’t the plans we had laid out for Priscilla,” she added, “but God takes our meager offerings and turns them into His greatest blessings! We are so proud that Priscilla & Dillon chose life for their baby and we will all be rewarded with this precious baby girl!

“We pray blessings on her pregnancy & ask God for a safe delivery for Mom & Baby. We praise God for His perfect gifts! Pray for us! 3 babies under 1!”

Jessica and Jeb, who are also parents to Lily, 22, Merritt, 20, River, 16, and Gus, 9, recently welcomed their first grandchild—and now have two others on the way.

Lily welcomed her first child, son Winston, in February, while Merritt is pregnant with her first child, who is due in December.

Jessica’s announcement that Priscilla is also expecting drew a wide range of responses from her friends, family, and followers. Many of her relatives voiced their joy over the news in the comments section of her post.

“Beautiful! Love you and so excited for another sweet baby girl in the fam,” Korie Robertson said.

“Beautiful mama,” Sadie Robertson Huff added.

However, some of the fans were quick to point out that Priscilla’s age could well lead to a number of struggles, with others criticizing Jessica for putting a “disclaimer” on the pregnancy announcement.

“Pregnancy is hard enough, even when it’s planned and expected. As families—and as a society—we often fall short (in SO many ways) to pregnant women,” one social media user said.

“I adore Jess, truly, but as a mom, I have to say this post falls short for me in some real ways. Especially with how publicly it’s being shared, I just wish the focus had stayed on celebrating Priscilla and this new beginning. First pregnancies deserve joy, not disclaimers.”

“Bringing a new life into the world is exciting regardless of the circumstances,” another person added.

Priscilla is currently living with her parents in their sprawling Louisiana home, which they purchased for $485,000 in 2014. The couple renovated the home, which was built in 1975, when they moved in.

The property boasts five bedrooms and five bathrooms in 5,205 square feet of living space. It sits on 1.58 acres of land.

Although it had initially been reported that the couple relocated to Texas, Jessica has confirmed that they still reside in Louisiana, but have purchased a plot of land in the Lone Star State, where they plan to build a new property.

The plot is located inside a gated community called Comanche Moon in the Legends Texas development, where owners can purchase various parcels of land to use for their own property build.

Jessica has not yet revealed what kind of dwelling the family hopes to erect on their land. Previously, she has suggested that they will use it as a vacation spot.
