One of the country’s leading fireworks moguls is hoping to spark some major buzz around his spectacular Long Island mansion. He listed the picturesque property for $8 million, providing one lucky person with the chance to snap up the perfect Fourth of July getaway.
Phil Grucci, president and CEO of Fireworks by Grucci and Pyrotechnique by Grucci, has spent the past 12 years steadily growing his family’s 175-year-old business, continuing the Gruccis’ legacy of lighting up the skies with their mesmerizing pyrotechnical displays.
Throughout that time, Grucci and his wife, Debbie, have been based at their elegant dwelling in New York’s Bellport Village, a “quaint, bucolic village located on the South Shore” of Long Island.
Situated on an impressive 1.6-acre spread, the 15,000-square-foot mansion features spectacular views out over the bay—and of any overhead fireworks displays.
Yet, Grucci tells Realtor.com® they are preparing to part ways with the property, revealing that the home is simply too big for the couple now that their children have grown up and moved out.

“When we first saw the house, it seemed too big from the pictures. But when we went inside, it felt really good and cozy,” he explains.
“There was a beautiful layout, and everything about the house was perfect. At the time, I was nudging my wife and saying, ‘Don’t make it look like we are so happy, don’t make it look like we are so happy.'”
The home “checked off all the boxes,” he recalls—so much so that they have barely touched the bones of the abode during their ownership, instead focusing their efforts on tailoring the home to suit their personal aesthetic.
As a result, the eight-bedroom, 9.5-bathroom home, which was built in 1917, boasts many of its original design details, creating something of a time capsule that boasts a rich and fascinating history.
“All of the floors are original, all of the molding is original. We haven’t changed anything from the bones of the house because it’s gorgeous,” he says.
Bidding farewell to the home won’t be easy for Grucci—or his wife—however. The fireworks tycoon admits that he will miss the entertainment room most, while Debbie will be most devastated to part ways with the two sunrooms.
But selling the home will give the couple a chance to spread their wings. While they plan to purchase another, smaller abode on Long Island, they also have their sights set on a property in Virginia, Grucci shares.

The Gruccis picked up their elegant abode in 2012 for $2 million—and the listing clearly states that the property has been carefully updated with modern amenities, without sacrificing its history.
“A breathtaking estate that combines the elegance of 1917 origins with modern luxuries,” the listing states. “Set on a lush, private 1.6 acres with deeded bay views, this property is a rare jewel in the heart of Bellport Village.
“The moment you enter the gated driveway, you’re transported to an extraordinary place where every detail is a testament to exceptional elegance and comfort,” the listing adds.
Surrounded by lush greenery, the dwelling features an open floor plan, rich wood flooring, and an elegant staircase.
The spacious living area includes a cozy fireplace and multiple windows. Adjacent to this space is an office, which carries the same dark wood aesthetic found throughout the home.

“The main floor features an elegant living room, stately library, formal dining room, all featuring fireplaces.
“The designer kitchen is a culinary dream, complete with its own fireplace. Just off the kitchen enjoy the light filled morning room,” the listing adds.
Also on the main floor are a drawing room with five sets of French doors, and the family room includes a pool table, bar, and bathroom with a sauna.
The chef’s kitchen has a more traditional style than the remainder of the home thanks to its ivory-toned theme.
“The second floor houses 5 en-suite bedrooms, 4 with fireplaces, including the primary suite with a large private terrace,” the listing states.
“The third floor offers two additional bedrooms, a spacious hobby room, and a full bath. In all, the home boasts 8 bedrooms, 9 full bathrooms and 3 powder rooms,” the listing adds.
Further in the home are multiple walk-in closets, a media room, and a 4,000-square-foot wine cellar.
