Summer is officially here—and while many people might have spent the lead-up to the warm-weather season dreaming of sandy beaches and crystal-blue oceans, some of Hollywood’s biggest A-listers have been busy making some major moves in real estate in anticipation of enjoying a laid-back July.
Take hotel heiress Paris Hilton, who ended the month by snapping up fellow A-lister Mark Wahlberg‘s stunning former Beverly Hills retreat for a whopping $63.1 million, just a few months after losing her Malibu beach house in the California wildfires.
Another very impressive property purchase came in the form of a private island off the coast of Albania, which Ivanka Trump and her husband, Jared Kushner, are said to be turning into a luxury vacation resort—to the tune of around $1.4 billion.
The couple are said to have received preliminary approval from the Albanian government to push ahead with their plans to transform the former Soviet weapons base into an “extraordinary” escape, despite the fact that their vision for the future of the island, called Sazan, has sparked backlash from a few locals.
Meanwhile, a few other celebrities have focused their efforts not on property purchases, but on sales, including actress Jessica Alba and NFL star Patrick Mahomes‘ mom, Randi.
Jessica managed to score a serious real estate win when she found a buyer for the Beverly Hills home she once shared with her estranged husband, Cash Warren, selling the dwelling for $18.2 million just a few weeks after it hit the market.
As for Randi, she faced a slightly tougher time when it came to securing a sale of the Texas property where she raised Patrick and his brother, Jackson, ultimately slashing around $6,000 from her asking price in order to find a buyer.
Luckily, that discount seems to have done the trick—with the home now listing as “pending” sale, according to records.
