“The Bachelor” alum Tyler Cameron‘s Florida home has undergone an incredible transformation at the hands of influencer turned HGTV star Galey Alix—who has now revealed how she pulled off the dramatic renovation in just 72 hours.
Alix, who rose to fame on social media before landing her own show, “Home in a Heartbeat with Galey Alix,” took to Instagram to reveal that she had kicked out Cameron and his girlfriend, Tate Madden, for a weekend to revamp some very dated spaces in their dwelling.
The 31-year-old explained that the TV star asked her to surprise him by overhauling his upstairs work loft, before going on to detail how she and her team worked through the night to pull off the impressive transformation within the allotted time frame.
“When my friend (and builder) Tyler asked me to surprise him by renovating his upstairs work loft… I said yes as long as he helped me with the demo! Once we ripped out the carpet, I kicked Tyler and Tate out of their home for a weekend so we could make magic happen!” she revealed.
Alix went on to thank the happy couple for trusting her with the process, which completed the final steps of their home renovation.

“Thank you Tyler & Tate for trusting me with your beautiful home! You’ve done such an amazing job, it was an honor getting to finish the final wing!” she added.
Still, the process—though rewarding—was by no means easy, requiring Alix and her helpers to work long hours without letting up.
“Huge thank you to my entire team, for working 72 hours straight through sunrises with me,” she wrote. “Our bodies were hurting but you never even considered stopping. I could cry trying to put into words how deeply my gratitude runs. Thank you both, beyond words.”
In her video, Alix captured every aspect of the process, beginning with clips of her and Cameron ripping out the carpet in the office space, before she went on to add some texture to the walls in a bid to dial up new areas of interest.
As for the walls, she painted them a dark gray then used an antiquing effect on the light fixtures to give them a more weathered look.
The designer then added wood flooring and custom black wall shelves to the room.
In before-and-after photos, Alix revealed that the bland room once held a bed and featured no color—while the results of the transformation saw the area looking far bigger, thanks to the added details, which included a large glass table.
And that wasn’t the only space Alix tackled, with the video also documenting changes she made to another room in the house, which had previously stood empty but now serves as a chic lounge area.
As part of the renovation, the DIY pro added a large couch and a marble coffee table as well as more wood flooring and custom shelves.

The last room she revamped now had a chic glass table and several chairs.
At the end of the video, Alix revealed that she would be showcasing Cameron’s reaction at a later date.
Cameron previously opened up to Realtor.com® about his love of properties and what got him into the construction business.
“My pops used to bring me to his job sites all the time, and I would sit on his lap and be on the skid steer with him. I remember when I just got to be able to drive, I saw one of the lots was all dirt, so I was like, ‘I’m going to take this truck in the dirt and run it around.’ I got it stuck right away.
“He would always take me to go clean the lots, so I was like, ‘I don’t want to come anymore. I don’t want to just clean; I want to learn.’
“I’ve had to learn now because I didn’t get to really learn back then.
“On the show, you get to see the learning process. I’m not perfect. What I love about this show is, a lot of people come on these shows and they want to look perfect, they want to let you know they know everything.
“I want you to see that I’m going to grow, and you’re going to grow with me,” he said.

He also shared some advice for budding renovators.
“When you’re going to renovate a home, the best things to do [are] live in the house a little bit, feel it out, understand the quirks of the house, and understand what spaces you use the most—what’s most important to you in the house,” he said.
“Take some time to figure that out, and then really plan it out and stick to that plan.
“When you start getting off that plan, or if you don’t even plan it out, that’s when you start busting your budget, that’s when you start going over time, and that’s kind of what I’m doing right now with my own house!
“I was like, ‘Let’s just rip it apart. Let’s just get it over with.’ Now I’m going back and making changes two or three times because I’m like, ‘Actually, I want to do this now.’ Getting a plan and truly sticking to that plan will help protect your budget and save you time.”
