L’Eggo my pancake Eggo cabin!
A pancake-themed residence—designed to replicate a “towering stack of Eggo pancakes” with a stick-of-butter-shaped chimney—just hit the market in Gatlinburg, TN, for $699,900.
Located in what is dubbed “The Pancake Capital of the South” in the heart of the Smoky Mountains, this whimsical round house built in 1986 is being offered furnished and is currently operating as a successful short-term rental property, paying homage to the popular breakfast staple.
“The sellers purchased the property in 2021 when it was the round cabin,” says listing agent Courtney McGhee, of Keller Williams.
“In 2024, Kellogg’s reached out to them, saying they wanted to do a special contest to transform the home into the Eggo House of Pancakes. Eggo did all of the renovations, and at the end of the promotion, they gave the owners the option to keep everything as it was or they would take it all down.
“They decided to keep it because it made it a little different from the other cabins in the area.”

A yellow exterior door with the Eggo logo leads to a brightly colored, 1,980-square-foot open floor plan. The sunny residence boasts four en suite bedrooms, each with its own “pancake-inspired touches.”
The lemon-colored entertainment room has yellow-and-white checkered wallpaper, a honey-hued pool table, and round sofa designed to look like a fluffy flapjack.
Yellow walls, ceiling fans, bed-and-bath decor, and an eye-popping kitchen outfitted with yellow cabinets and tile can all be found throughout the home. Even the mailbox sports an Eggo logo.

While McGhee says the happy home could certainly be used as primary or secondary residence, she believes it will be kept as an investment property.
“I think the next owner will be someone who enjoys this niche market and wants to go all in on the theme,” she says. “You could upgrade it and do it more heavily to continue the success of the cabin as a short-term rental.”
Offering mountain views, the fun property nestled in Chalet Village also has a wraparound deck with a hot tub to soak in the beautiful mountain views.
“Gatlinburg is one of the largest tourist destinations,” McGhee adds. “It’s near Dollywood, Anakeesta’s mountain coaster, moonshine tastings, skiing in the winter, and is right outside the entrance to Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It’s just a real family-friendly location.”
