Pop star Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce have a wealth of property between them—but according to new reports, they are looking to expand their real estate portfolio to a rather unlikely location: Cleveland.
According to local news outlet Scene, Swift and Kelce, both 35, were seen touring “at least two opulent homes” in a tony suburb of the Ohio city—around the same time that they were spotted enjoying a lunch date in nearby Chagrin Falls.
“Multiple sources have confirmed to Scene that Swift and Kelce visited at least two opulent homes currently for sale in Northeast Ohio’s tony eastside suburbs on that visit,” the publication wrote.
“The kind of places where wealth is abundant and babies are born with fully funded 529 accounts just in case they don’t get a lacrosse scholarship or decide to forego higher education altogether to pursue dressage full time.”
Neither Swift nor Kelce has publicly commented on the rumors of their house-hunting excursion. However, the latter boasts a strong personal connection to the area, having been born and raised in Cleveland Heights, a northeastern suburb of the city.

Certainly, the pair can afford their fair share of luxury in the area, where the median list price fell to $139,000 as of June 2025, according to Realtor.com® data. That works out to about 0.1% of the value of Swift’s personal property portfolio, which is estimated to be worth more than $100 million.
In Cleveland’s more exclusive suburbs, house prices regularly top the $1 million mark. One property in the tony area of Hunting Valley is currently on the market for a staggering $18 million, while a handful of other homes in the area are listed for anywhere between $1.75 million and $4.5 million.
Lavish properties can also be found in Chagrin Falls, where the lovebirds were seen dining at local eatery JoJo’s. Several listings here are available for around $2.5 million and above.
Indeed, local real estate agents have been quick to point out that there are a number of exclusive gems hidden around the Cleveland area.
One agent—David Ayers of The Agency—told the New York Post that the suburbs of the city are home to “very stealth wealth” and “old money,” describing the communities as “an amazingly kept secret.”
News that Swift and Kelce might have their sights set on a property in the area has caused quite the hubbub among fans, with some suggesting that the apparent house-hunting trip is a sign that Kelce could be set to retire from the NFL after the upcoming season.
Kelce has been quick to shut down suggestions that he is already planning an end to his professional football career, telling reporters at the Chiefs’ training camp on Aug. 6 not to ask him questions about his retirement until it happens.
“Man, ask me that when I retire,” he responded when questioned about what his “fondest training camp memory” would be if this season were to be his last.
The football pro has reportedly been putting in a huge amount of effort to prepare for the 2025 season, relocating temporarily to Florida over the summer, where he was said to have been putting himself through a grueling training regimen in a bid to help his team regain the Super Bowl trophy.

Kelce is said to have taken up residence at an extravagant $20 million mansion in a gated community, where he was understood to have been focusing on fitness and health.
All that hard work certainly seems to have paid off, with Chiefs coach Andy Reid telling reporters at the team’s training camp that Kelce “looks like he’s 20.”
“He’s svelte right now. He looks like he’s 20,” Reid said, according to the Associated Press. “He’s doing a nice job. He’s worked hard to get to this spot here.”
Meanwhile, Swift has been soaking up plenty of free time since her sold-out “Eras Tour” came to an end in December, enjoying a number of outings with Kelce, including a date night in Florida, where she was understood to be staying with him in his rental property.
She has also embarked on her own personal property project—an extensive renovation of her beloved Rhode Island abode, which she purchased for $17.75 million in 2013.
Plans for the historic abode on Watch Hill reveal that it is set to be outfitted with an additional bedroom, while one of the existing rooms will be turned into an “enlarged bedroom suite.” In total, the project will add 400 square feet to the property.
The renovation plans were drawn up on Nov. 25 and Dec. 4, 2024, before Swift’s final “Eras Tour” show on Dec. 8, with an expiration date of Dec. 4, 2025.
The renovation will be completed by a team of Rhode Island–based contractors, led by David W. Shafovaloff, who is located in Hope Valley and describes himself on LinkedIn as a “self employed construction project manager” who specializes in “high end residential and commercial construction.”
