Christina Haack’s Lookalike Daughter Trolls HGTV Star Over ‘Odd’ Encounter With Paparazzi in Paris

HGTV star Christina Haack is one of the home improvement network’s most famous faces—but her stardom has done little to impress her teenage daughter, who has mercilessly trolled her mom over the paparazzi attention she receives, while also putting the home-flipping expert firmly in her place.

Haack, 42, who has three children, has been enjoying some much-needed downtime following the cancellation of her HGTV series “Christina on the Coast.”

After addressing the network’s decision to pull the plug on her series, Haack jetted off to Paris with her daughter, Taylor, 14, and her boyfriend, Christopher Larocca.

While enjoying the sights and sounds of the European city, the trio also came face-to-face with some local photographers eagerly capturing their movements as they toured the historic locale.

But far from being disturbed or upset by the paparazzi, Haack’s daughter was baffled by why anyone would see her mother as being worthy of such attention—a feeling that she happily pointed out to the HGTV star.

Sharing a video of the photographer on her Instagram Story, Haack admitted that it is “always an odd feeling” to be papped in the street, before revealing her daughter’s hilarious reaction to the snapper.

“Mom you [aren’t] even that popular,” Taylor told her mom, who quoted the teen on her video.

Haack, who donned a long pink dress for the outing, then shared a photo of her and Taylor, who sported a white dress, walking across the street while holding hands and enjoying breakfast together.

She also shared an adorable snap with her boyfriend, whom she began dating in fall 2024.

Her trip to Paris comes just one week after Haack broke her silence on the cancellation of her show, assuring fans she wasn’t worried about it.

She addressed the news in a carefree Instagram post that saw her lounging around with her kids, friends, and boyfriend.

“Summer so far. Basically just eating and laughing. Canceled looks good on me…” she said in the caption.

Haack teased, “Only kidding only kidding” with a red heart and a silly face emoji.

However, while Haack appeared upbeat even in the face of the disheartening news, fans were quick to flock to the comments section to voice their sadness at the show being canceled.

“I sooo loved ‘Christina on the Coast’!!! HGTV made a very bad decision!!” one person said.

Another social media user wrote, “I am so highly upset at this network they canceled all my favorite shows!!! I really hope I see all you guys very soon!!!”

Sources claimed that both “Christina on the Coast” and “The Flipping El Moussas” have been given the ax by the network, joining a growing list of series to have been cancelled in recent weeks.

According to Us Weekly, insiders claimed that Haack’s series, which ran for five seasons, the last of which concluded in March of this year, has “not been renewed.” Tarek and Heather El Moussa‘s show is also “not coming back” to HGTV, having lasted just two seasons.

Then, a report from Deadline claimed that the programming purge was because viewership had dropped by nearly half in the past few years.

However, fans should have at least one other opportunity to watch Haack on HGTV screens in the second season of “The Flip Off,” a renovation battle series in which she stars alongside the El Moussas.

Us Weekly’s source claims that the trio’s joint project, “The Flip Off,” which premiered this year, has been greenlit for a second season, although filming is not yet thought to have started.

However, the fate of Haack’s other series, “Christina in the Country,” is not yet known.

Both “Christina on the Coast” and “The Flipping El Moussas” have joined a growing pile of projects that have been relegated to the cutting room floor, including “Battle on the Beach,” Bargain Block,” “Married to Real Estate,” “Farmhouse Fixer,” and “Izzy Does It.”

And while “The Flip Off” has officially been renewed, the fact that filming has not yet started means that the network could still opt to backtrack on its decision to approve a second season.

After its premiere in January, the series became HGTV’s highest-rated debut show among adult viewers since 2022. Fans were apparently captivated by the drama that unfolded on screen as a result of Haack’s divorce from her third husband, Josh Hall.
