“The Real Housewives of New York City” star Bethenny Frankel has slammed the Hamptons for its major “shift” as she revealed that she is now fully moved into her new Florida home, which is the “nicest” house she has ever had.
The 54-year-old TV personality, who hails from New York City and was born in Queens, revealed she had traded skyscrapers for palm trees in April in large part because of her teenage daughter, Brynn, and after having been “unhappy” in the Big Apple for quite some time.
Now, Frankel, who starred in eight seasons of the Bravo show, has doubled down on her decision to leave the city that never sleeps as she lifted the lid how much happier she is in the Sunshine State, adding that her first night in her new home in Florida was “exquisite.”
In a viral video shared to TikTok, Frankel suggested that her days in the Hamptons were over as she revealed that the overwhelming amount of “traffic” and the increasing amount of people flocking to Montauk for weekend getaways have caused a “shift” in the once-classic “fisherman town.”
“So today was my first day at my new home in Florida, which is exquisite, I can’t believe it, we will talk about that another time but it’s the nicest house I have ever had.

“For me to get here today knowing that all summer I am going to be in the Hamptons, and I just have to be here for certain obligations and for Brynn, but to get here and say to myself, ‘I am staying here. I will go back to the Hamptons when I have to but I am staying here,'” the TV tycoon said.
Frankel confessed that her friends used to have to “drag” her out of the Hamptons, adding that she used to even want to spend her winters there.
“This summer, all the videos people are posting about the Hamptons being off, the traffic is suffocating. It’s horrible on Montauk highway. You have to drag me to go deep in the Hamptons, the traffic is suffocating, it’s the Bermuda triangle.
“The vibes are not vibe-ing, people feel disconnected, it’s a choppy summer, it’s crazy. People are highlighting what the Hamptons isn’t,” she said.
Frankel went on to to note that the types of people flocking to the coastal town have tainted the perception of the area.
“It really, really is a town of fishermen, boating, farms, woods and gorgeous, stunning beaches. Someone did a video saying it’s boring, it is. It’s a beautiful place, but it’s just being presented wrong and attracting the wrong thing.
“For me to choose to be in Florida, where I don’t have a single friend here, and it’s 10 degrees warmer and my home is on the water there, is saying a lot. It’s saying the Hamptons aren’t Hampton-ing and something is off,” she explained.
At the end of the clip, Frankel revealed that she had a slew of real estate predictions, which she would share with fans at a later date.

“In another video, I will tell you what I have been predicting for years about real estate, which I’m pretty good at, but yeah I think there is a shift coming in the Hamptons,” she revealed.
Her shocking stance on New York’s hottest getaway area comes after Frankel laid bare her feelings around “loneliness” and admitted that she has been “unhappy” for quite some time, revealing that she felt she needed to make a move in order to pull herself out of that extended period of sadness.
“I haven’t been totally honest with you about this move. I’ve been pretty lonely the past five or six years. And it started with the pandemic, which gave me license to be the introvert and insular person that everyone is surprised that I am,” she began.
“My friends know it very well because I look like a social person, but I’m not! I could be home for days without leaving the house, and the pandemic gave me license to do that.”
She admitted that she initially thought moving to the suburbs would help her to find a new lease on life, but that she instead found herself feeling like she was living in a “cave.”
The social media icon confessed that much of her sadness came after mom, Bernadette Birk, died from lung cancer in April 2024.
Although Frankel is attempting to offload her Connecticut home, she assured fans that she wouldn’t be bidding adieu to the Big Apple forever and will be holding on to at least some of her New York City properties.
In her first video, Frankel—who was sitting on her balcony—flipped the camera to show off the sweeping ocean views behind her.

Us Weekly previously reported that her daughter’s “academic and athletic goals” were the main reason behind her move, which was “all about” supporting the teen.
Although Frankel didn’t mention where in Florida she would be living, she did recently snap up a new home in the Sunshine State in addition to her Miami apartment, which she previously showed off to her followers.
Frankel—whose primary residence was previously in the Hamptons—ramped up her real estate holdings in 2024 by adding three more properties to her portfolio, one in Manhattan and another in Miami.
As with all of her homes, Frankel carried out several updates to the property before moving in, revealing in a December 2024 tour of the condo that she had redone the flooring, installed artwork, and overhauled the bathroom.
Speaking about her decision to head to her Miami apartment, Frankel explained that she decided to “peace out” after her teenage daughter asked for some space so she could have time to study.
While Frankel’s apartment in the Sunshine State is certainly smaller than her Hamptons abode, the building in which it is located offers a wealth of amenities, not least its proximity to the beach, as well as access to private cabanas and a swimming pool.

Each apartment in the 20-story building has private elevator access, enabling residents to enjoy maximum privacy. The property is located in the heart of the Faena District, which is filled with restaurants and bars.
According to records, Frankel bought her apartment in June 2024, paying just a hair under $1.68 million—having secured a small discount on the original $1.7 million asking price.
It was a big year for the former TV star, who bought her new Miami home just a few months after investing in a pied-à-terre on New York City’s Upper West Side, paying around $2 million.
Frankel’s beloved Hampton’s home, which she purchased in 2023 for $5.45 million and sprawls across 3,500 square feet, was her primary residence until she decided to make the move to Florida.
