A zany Las Vegas estate that was once home to famed Nevada politician Lonnie Hammargren has hit the market for $2.5 million—and comes chock full of all manner of casino-themed decor, including a staircase used by Liberace at his iconic stage show.
The four-bedroom property, which has soared to the top of the week’s most popular homes list, was the quirky brainchild of Hammargren, a former neurosurgeon who became the lieutenant governor of Nevada in 1995.
Hammargren, who died in June 2023, filled the 7,268-square-foot home with all kinds of memorabilia, including mannequins and animatronics, a life-size hot dog and dinosaur, and collectibles like the iconic sign from the Hacienda Hotel and Casino, a Dunes’ stained-glass dome, and a dragon from the Imperial Palace Hotel.
Those items have remained in place for the last eight years while the dwelling, which is known as Paradise Crest Manner, has been occupied by new owners, Mike and Amber Softing, who bought it in 2017 after Hammargren foreclosed on it.
Though they extensively renovated the house, its wild and wacky spirit remains.
The unbelievable home also features a planetarium and underground garage—as well as an illustrious history on TV, having been featured on numerous shows, including “Extreme Homes” and “Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous.”
But that is not the only home to have lured in ample attention from buyers.
