Barstool Sports star Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia‘s messy split from singer Zach Bryan reached a new low this week when the former couple began airing their dirty laundry in a very public way—sharing screenshots of text messages exchanged in the wake of their breakup.

The latest dramatic chapter in the long-running saga began on the morning of July 14, when Bryan, 29, who was raised in Oklahoma, took to Instagram Stories to post images of several messages that he claimed were sent by LaPaglia, 26, after their relationship fell apart.

His first post featured a text purportedly sent by podcast host LaPaglia in which she described her complicated feelings in the wake of their 2024 split, admitting that she will “never forget the love” she felt for you and insisting that she was never interested in Bryan’s “lifestyle or money.”

“If you ever need a family to lean on, mine will always be yours, me not attached,” she added. “I’ll never forget the love I felt for you at one time in this life! Timing was wrong and you weren’t ready and that’s okay. Enjoy being a rockstar. If you ever need a friend that gets it, I’ll always be here, I don’t break my promises.”

The message ended with LaPaglia noting that she believes she “deserved a goodbye,” before signing off with a request that Bryan “take care of” their shared cat, Stump, and that he give his dog, Jack, a “big huge hug” on her behalf.

Influencer and podcast host Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia has alleged that her former boyfriend, singer Zach Bryan, offered to gift her a home in Massachusetts in return for her agreeing not to speak publicly about their split.

LaPaglia’s claims came after Bryan took to Instagram to share screenshots of messages that he alleged were sent by the Barstool Sports star.

LaPaglia hit back by sharing screenshots of messages that she claims Bryan’s manager sent her after their breakup, detailing her options for an NDA agreement.

In a second screenshot, Bryan included a message that appeared to have been sent by LaPaglia to a third party, in which she discussed her “options” after their split—detailing the three potential paths that lay in front of her.

“Option A” involved take a $12 million payment in return for agreeing not to say anything publicly about the split, other than the fact that she wanted to “move on and heal,” while “option B” suggested that she accept the gift of a home in Duxbury from Bryan and “take the high road” by refusing to talk about any “non public cheating” or about “him being a narcissist.”

Finally, “option c” would result in what the message described as a “messy war” in which she would “air out everything [she] experienced” and not “hold back.”

Though the screenshots were very quickly deleted from Bryan’s Stories, LaPaglia shared several responses on her own social media account, first voicing her shock over her former partner’s decision to publicly post the messages—sharing a selfie over which she wrote: “Boy is blackout at 7 a.m. again shocker.”

She then posted what she claimed was a message sent to her by Bryan’s manager in which her so-called “options for an NDA” were laid out clearly.

The first offer included Bryan’s “Duxbury house + 3 million” while the second was a cash payment of $10 million.

“Terms would be: say nothing about Zach,” the message went on. “Just say, ‘yeah we broke up, really want to move on and heal.'”

The other terms included refusing to talk about “the non public cheating,” ensuring that a recording made by LaPaglia’s close friend and former podcast co-host, Grace O’Malley, about her relationship with Bryan “never gets talked about,” and remaining distanced from any public discussions by Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy about her romance.

“Basically Brianna will be the verification for any speculated rumors or conspiracies,” the message added. “She will deflect or defend Zach in moments people try to pry and the relationships and details during it.”

LaPaglia insisted in another post that she has “not told one lie ever” about her relationship with Bryan—which she previously claimed had become emotionally abusive—adding that she “was offered 12.9 million dollars to stay quiet” but opted not to “because I have morals.”

“End of story,” she wrote in her final post. “I’m so sick of this s–t, [I don’t know] why he’s crashing out?!”

Though LaPaglia has not ever released any recordings of the abuse she says she suffered at Bryan’s hands during their year-long romance, she has spoken out on a number of occasions about the breakdown of their relationship, including in a YouTube video that was shared just days after they split.

At the time of the split, LaPaglia—who hails from Boston but had been living and working in New York City for many years—was living in Bryan’s $7.45 million Massachusetts mansion, which he purchased in April 2024.

In November of that same year, images showed a moving truck outside the property, with LaPaglia later revealing that she had moved out of his home and was searching for her own abode back in New York City, documenting her apartment hunt in a series of TikTok videos.

The property, which is located in Duxbury, is thought to be the property that was offered to her as part of one of the post-breakup “options” offered to her after she split from Bryan.

Located on the waterfront of Duxbury Bay, the home boasts spectacular views out over the water, as well as a private boathouse and a pier.

It features five bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms, as well as an expanded living area that includes a cozy fireplace and an “expansive” kitchen, according to the original listing.

Before Bryan purchased the property, it had been on the market for nearly a year, having initially been listed for $8.9 million in August 2023.

However, the singer does also own a second Duxbury property, according to records, which show that another nearby home was purchased for $1.4 million under the same LLC as the waterfront dwelling in August 2024. Bryan is listed as a manager for the LLC.

This property is located much closer to the town center, about a four-minute drive from the Duxbury Bay address.

According to its listing information, the home features three bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms and was originally built in 1910.

However, LaPaglia does not appear to have accepted either property—instead choosing to return to New York City after her bitter breakup, where she is now living in a 1,269-square-foot two-bedroom, two-bathroom penthouse on the Lower East Side that was last listed for rent for $12,750 a month.

Sharing the news of her move in a TikTok clip posted in December 2024, LaPaglia voiced her joy at finally finding the perfect property, while waxing lyrical about the many lavish amenities that her new dwelling offers.

“Guys, I’m in my new apartment, oh my gosh,” she exclaimed in the clip, while standing in the empty space. “I might cry, so bear with me. This past year, I just accepted that I wasn’t going to be me again. I just lost so many good parts about myself. I lost the city that I loved … just so much.

“But I feel like me again. I genuinely feel like Brianna again, and this is the first step of that. I could cry.”

Showing off the space to her followers, the influencer revealed that her abode boasts an elevator entrance that opens up directly into her apartment, leading straight into the ultramodern kitchen.

The apartment has multiple terraces, which she noted was one of the reasons she loved the home so much, explaining that she wanted to ensure her beloved dog, Boston, would have plenty of places to run around.

Squealing with joy, she then showed off the incredible skylight and floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the space with natural light, before moving onto the other living spaces.

Revealing the first of her two bedrooms, the online star revealed that the guest space came complete with a Murphy bed, joking that she would be forced to use it herself until all of her furniture arrived.

The primary bedroom is located on the second floor of the duplex property, with LaPaglia quipping that she “never thought I’d have stairs in a New York City apartment.”

Her bedroom features an incredible glass wall that looks over the kitchen and living area on the floor below, but comes complete with remote-control blackout curtains so she can enjoy complete privacy if others are in her home.

The cherry on top of the very sweet space is a private rooftop that can be accessed via stairs from her second floor, or via the elevator.

“This is my private roof!” she revealed. “I love it.

“I’m sickly grateful for this. I feel like I’m going to throw up, I’m going to cry, I’m going to laugh. I’m just so freaking happy right now.”

In its original listing, the apartment was advertised as a “penthouse sanctuary,” with the description revealing that it is one of just six units in a boutique condo building.
