A picturesque Cape Cod beach house that pop star Taylor Swift once called home is no longer at risk of facing a “Cruel Summer” as a vacant property after securing itself a buyer—just weeks after being listed for $14.5 million.
The opulent dwelling, which is located in Hyannis Port and sits mere steps away from the iconic Kennedy family compound, was owned by Swift, 35, for just a matter of months in 2012, when she enjoyed a short-lived romance with Robert F. Kennedy Jr.‘s son Conor.
Records indicate that Swift—whose romance with the Kennedy scion began in summer 2012— closed on the dwelling in November of that same year, paying $4.8 million.
However, just a few months later, the brief tryst with Conor had come to an end, and so too had her flirtation with Hyannis Port homeownership.
Although the identity of the current owner is not known, records show that they purchased the beachfront dwelling from Swift in early 2013 and carried out several significant updates.

“The property has been transformed through a masterful collaboration between the current owners, architect Dell Mitchell, and interior designer Heather Wells,” the listing noted. “Today, it stands as a sophisticated yet relaxed modern coastal retreat.”
Built in 1928, the home has changed hands only a handful of times—most recently going “under agreement” on June 14, just a few weeks after it was put on the market.
It is unclear if the buyer offered the full asking price of $14.5 million.
Though pricey, the home has plenty of impressive amenities, not least its impressive celebrity cachet.
The historic dwelling is located on a 1.11-acre bluff and boasts 200 feet of private beachfront. Naturally, it offers staggering views out across the Nantucket Sound.
Its prime perch overlooking the water was highlighted extensively in the listing—which made no mention of Swift.
“With over 5,000 square feet of beautifully curated living space, every room is oriented toward the water, maximizing natural light and drawing the outside in,” it stated. “A dramatic entry foyer opens to sweeping views of the sea, setting the tone for the home’s seamless connection to its extraordinary backdrop.”

Although the beach and ocean are just steps away from the back door, the home also comes with a heated resort-style pool and an outdoor lounge area.
Inside, guests can get warm and cozy next to the home’s multiple fireplaces or relax in the opulent sun room, which boasts enormous glass doors that open to the lush gardens.
“Whitewashed plank walls, beamed ceilings, and wide windows evoke a breezy, beachy elegance, while refined finishes and rustic details lend warmth and authenticity,” the listing added.
The property is also rare in both its location and opulence, with just six dwellings currently on the market in Hyannis Port, according to Realtor.com—three of which are pending sale. All of those homes are listed for more than $1 million.
Mere feet away from the former Swift residence sits an extravagant home that has just returned to the market for a staggering $25.8 million, less than a year after it was listed for $19.8 million.
That home, which sits adjacent to the Kennedy compound, comes with an impressive 3-acre plot and close to 10,000 square feet of living space, as well as 500 feet of private beachfront.
As for Swift, she wasted no time in securing herself another vacation home, this time in Rhode Island, where she snapped up another historic dwelling for $17.75 million in 2013.

Located in Watch Hill, the property boasts 11,000 square feet of living space and has been used by the pop star as a July 4 getaway, with many of her celebrity friends regularly in attendance at her Independence Day celebrations, from Blake Lively to Gigi Hadid.
However, it’s unclear if Swift will have full use of the home for this year’s holiday—after it was revealed that she’s carrying out extensive renovations at the property to the tune of $1.7 million.
Records obtained by Us Weekly in January revealed that the singer was planning to expand her dwelling with a new bedroom, while also transforming one of the existing rooms into an “enlarged bedroom suite.” A kitchen remodel was also included in the proposed work.
In total, the project will add a reported 400 square feet to the property.
The renovation will be completed by a team of Rhode Island–based contractors, led by David W. Shafovaloff, who is located in Hope Valley and describes himself on LinkedIn as a “self employed construction project manager” who specializes in “high end residential and commercial construction.”
The extravagant seaside estate was built in 1930 and once belonged to composer and socialite Rebekah Harkness, who was married to William Hale “Bill” Harkness.
