MySpace’s heyday may have come and gone—but one lasting symbol of its former success has just been made available to homebuyers in Colorado for the sky-high price of $27 million.
The once-unstoppable social network’s former CEO, Michael Jones, has just put his stunning Aspen sanctuary on the market, 14 years after he stepped down from his role at the online company.
Jones, 49, who served as the chief executive at the social media brand between 2010 and 2011, picked up the high-tech home in 2021 for $17.9 million, according to records. However, for much of that time, it served as a rental property, with the monthly asking price as high as $150,000.
The six-bedroom, 6.5-bath home was originally built in 2017, having been designed by architect Brewster McLeod. Unlike many of the luxurious cabin-style dwellings in the area, this property boasts a modern aesthetic, with an emphasis on the beauty of its natural surroundings.
The abode features an open floor plan and mountain views.

“Perfectly positioned on a sunlit corner lot in Aspen’s coveted West End, this estate was designed by architect Brewster McLeod in 2017 to maximize light, views, and comfort with southeast-facing sightlines framing Aspen Mountain and Shadow Mountain,” the listing reads.
The entrepreneur gushed about the property, which was listed on May 28 for $26.9 million, while speaking to Robb Report, telling the outlet that its open floor plan is what initially drew him and his wife, Dr. Jennifer Jones, to the property.
“It’s giant. It had space for all the kids, and our dog could run around. It was really easy to maintain, and I loved the build quality,” adds Jones.
The Joneses began calling the Aspen property home in 2021 after relocating from Los Angeles.
During the four years that the Jones family lived there, the tech mogul noted that they barely renovated and just pulled off a “light refresh,” adding just new furniture and light fixtures.
As for why they’ve now decided to sell, Jones explained that—while they have adored their time in the snowy sanctuary—they no longer have a need for so much space and believe the time has come for someone else to enjoy the unique dwelling.
“We’re selling now because the kids are no longer living in the home and we need less space,” he explained.

Upon entering the home, guests are greeted with soaring ceilings and an open floor plan that is accentuated with dark wood flooring and rustic wooden beams.
The living area comes complete with a chic fireplace and large windows.
As one might expect of a tech CEO, the property boasts a number of very high-tech amenities, including “a humidification system” and “an elevator,” according to the listing.
Adjacent to the living area is the chef’s kitchen, which features an expansive island, a marble backsplash, and state-of-the art appliances.
The dining area is situated in between the living room and kitchen and is completed by a large wooden table that sits under an elegant chandelier.
Upstairs, there is a large office space for the next business mogul to focus on their dreams.
There is also a lounge area with a ping pong table, plenty of couches, and a cozy fireplace—making it the perfect place to entertain guests on a snowy day.

The bathrooms all feature double vanities, large soaking tubs, and “electric heat mats” that “offer spa-like comfort after a winter’s day on the slopes,” per the listing.
The bedrooms feature large windows that allow you to gawk at the lush greenery from the comfort of your king-sized bed. There is also a fire place and walk-in closet attached to the master bedroom.
Outside, there is a patio area that boasts a fire pit and a hot tub as well as many of seating areas.
“The spacious, heated garage includes an EV charging station and ample storage for bikes, skis, paddleboards, and more making this the perfect home base for embracing Aspen’s year-round outdoor lifestyle.
“Just a short stroll to the Meadows, the Aspen Ideas Festival, and Music School performances, this is a home where design, comfort, and culture converge. Welcome to elevated living West End style,” the listing adds.
Erik Berg and Jordan Nemirow of Engel & Völkers hold the listing.
