An extraordinary Wyoming ranch that offers the very best in Western living—with a very Hollywood edge—has come on the market for the staggering price of $52.8 million, nearly 150 years after it was first founded.

Pitchfork Ranch spans more than 96,000 acres in Meeteetse, WY, just below the Absaroka Mountains and twice served as the backdrop for the iconic Marlboro Man commercials, first in 1981, then again in 1983.

Now, it has added another string to its bow after topping the week’s most expensive homes list—beating out lavish megamansions in Boca Raton, FL, Los Angeles, and Palm Beach, FL.

The working cattle ranch, which dates to 1878, is surrounded by miles of irrigated hay meadows, spring systems, pastures, and abundant wildlife, including trophy elk and mule deer.

Designed for hunting and fishing, the sprawling ranch is located along the shores of the Greybull River offering “trout-rich waters.”

The deeded, leased, and permitted lands have been photographed over the years by Charles Belden, who “shaped the public’s imagination of the American West.”

Eight residences, two original barns, working pens, and a historic stone house offer views of the Greybull Basin.

Other jaw-dropping estates to make this week’s most expensive list include a Tribeca penthouse with spectacular outdoor terraces, a newly constructed beachfront compound in Santa Monica, CA, and a Palm Beach estate looking to reel in a cool $8.5 million profit just six months after it last traded hands.

Thoughtful modernizations offer a two-story kitchen with dual islands, a lavish primary suite with a sitting area and private terrace, and a “resort-size” pool.

The 41.66-acre lot comes with two guest residences, a multipurpose garage, a pool house, fountains, brooks, koi ponds, waterfalls, and English gardens. There is also a greenhouse, an indoor sport court, and an outdoor tennis court with a “spectator/entertaining” terrace.
