Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, has earned a spot on the Realtor.com® 2025 Hottest ZIP Codes list, placing this Harrisburg suburb among the most competitive housing markets in the nation.

Each year, the rankings highlight ZIP codes where homes are selling faster than the U.S. average and pulling in more online attention from buyers.

In 2025, Camp Hill’s 17011 ZIP code stood out, proving that smaller, commuter-friendly towns with suburban amenities remain a powerful draw.

Camp Hill homes are selling quickly

Camp Hill ranked No. 46 nationally, with homes selling in a median of 36 days between January and June 2025. That’s more than two weeks faster than the U.S. median of 53 days. The median listing price came in at $392,000, keeping it well below the June 2025 housing market data median of $441,000. The balance of affordability and speed shows why Camp Hill is turning heads in 2025.

Pennsylvania as a whole was well represented in this year’s rankings. Lancaster (ZIP 17601) placed at No. 25 with a $512,000 median, Palmyra (ZIP 17078) came in at No. 27 with a $371,000 median, and Reading (ZIP 19607) followed at No. 31 with a $293,000 median. Camp Hill rounds out the group, offering a median price that sits between those smaller cities and Lancaster’s higher-priced homes.

The Northeast keeps its edge

Camp Hill’s strong showing aligns with Realtor.com analysis that the Northeast remains one of the hottest regions in the country. Seven of the Northeast’s ZIPs landed in the national top 10, including Beverly, MA (the No. 1 ZIP overall), Marlton, NJ, and Leominster, MA. These markets all offer buyers suburban-style living at a relative discount compared to their nearby metro areas.

As part of the Harrisburg metro, Camp Hill benefits from this same value story. It offers suburban space and schools while giving residents quick access to the state capital’s jobs, services, and cultural attractions. That combination makes it an attractive option for households who want affordability without sacrificing urban access. Many home shoppers are also turning to a mortgage calculator or home affordability calculator to evaluate what they can afford in competitive ZIP codes.

Suburban living with urban access

Realtor.com Chief Economist Danielle Hale explains that the hottest ZIPs of 2025 share a common formula: suburban settings that offer amenities and space while keeping jobs and infrastructure close at hand.

“These locations represent a sweet spot for shoppers who want suburban amenities and proximity to jobs without paying top-tier metro premiums,” Hale says.

Across the nation, homes in the hottest ZIPs sold 30–42 days faster than the U.S. average and drew 3.6× more views online. Inventory in these competitive areas remains tight, nearly 59% below pre-pandemic levels, fueling faster decision-making and buyer urgency. Buyers in markets like Camp Hill can strengthen their position by exploring home loan options and understanding how private mortgage insurance may affect monthly payments.

For buyers, Camp Hill is a clear example of where affordability meets opportunity in today’s competitive housing market.
