Strongsville, Ohio (ZIP 44149) has earned the No. 6 spot on Realtor.com®’s 2025 Hottest ZIP Codes list , making this Cleveland suburb one of the fastest-moving housing markets in the country.

Known for its strong schools, robust retail scene, and desirable suburban lifestyle, Strongsville offers relative value compared with other competitive metros in the area.

From January to June 2025, Strongsville listings received 5.2 times more views per property than the U.S. average and sold in a median of just 25 days. The median listing price during that period was $423,000—50.3% higher than the Cleveland metro’s $277,000 median—showing that buyers are willing to pay a premium for this location.

A premium market in Ohio

Strongsville stands out in Ohio’s real estate landscape. Other Ohio markets on the list include Bexley at No. 10 with a $439,000 median and Toledo at No. 17 with $211,000. Strongsville’s higher price point reflects demand for its suburban amenities, parks system, and proximity to Cleveland job centers.

Fred Loguidice, real estate expert and founder of Sell My House Fast Ohio, praises the area as an ideal spot for young families and professionals to settle down in.

“Strongsville has long been a desirable suburb of Cleveland, but it’s now experiencing a new wave of demand,” he said. “It’s a great example of a market offering relative value; its median price is below the national average but provides top-tier schools, a great parks system, and a robust retail scene.”

Midwest’s strong showing in 2025

Strongsville is part of a notable Midwest housing market surge in 2025, with the region claiming multiple spots in the top 10. Regionally, Strongsville ranked second in the Midwest behind Ballwin, MO, which came in at the #4 slot, and ahead of Bexley, OH, a suburb in the Columbus area.

Tight supply is helping drive demand. According to June 2025 housing data, national inventory remained 12.9% below pre-pandemic levels, while the hottest markets averaged nearly 59% fewer listings than in 2019. This scarcity is speeding up sales and intensifying competition in suburbs like Strongsville.

Suburban living with city access

Strongsville offers spacious homes, well-maintained neighborhoods, and a range of shopping and dining options. The community’s access to major highways makes commuting to Cleveland straightforward, appealing to professionals and families alike.

Homes here often feature more square footage than the metro average, a key factor attracting buyers who want space without sacrificing access to urban amenities. Strongsville’s schools and parks system are additional draws.
